Silk-looking shiny curls: our advice for you to get them

Silk-looking shiny curls: our advice for you to get them

Those silk-looking shiny and soft curls you had when you had just walked out of the salon: still you dream them at night, don't you? Let us tell you a secret: getting them at home is not only possible, but you just need to put into action a few simple tricks! Here's what our experts recommend to give your curls their maximum shine.

Do not wash your hair too frequently: the wash takes natural sebum away from your curls, leaving them more brittle and exposed to harmful agents, leading to dryness and therefore frizz.

Food is a crucial ally for your curls: a diet rich in keratin (anchovies, green leafy vegetables and wlanuts, for example) and in vitamin B and antioxydants (contained in foods such as yoghurt, legumes - most of all soy and beans - and cereals, bananas, eggs) noticeably helps to get healthy and shiny hair - as well as drinking a lot of water during the day.

During your wash, put into action a couple small tricks:

  • do not use too much shampoo: it will be enough to put a small amount on your hand and dilute it before applying it, adding a bit at a time if necessary;
  • always rinse one last time with cold water: this will help sealing your cuticles and preventing dryness and frizz;
  • if the water of your shower is too calcareous, at the end of the wash rinse your hair with some mineral water, in order to remove those residues which risk to ruin your hair.

After having dryed your curls with your hairdryer (be careful not to use it at a too high temperature!), put it on "cool" mode and blow over your curls some cold air: this too, just like the last rinse with cold water, will help seling your hair cuticles, keeping it naturally hydrated and strong.

Both at the end of the wash and to protect your curls, always apply some Protective Oil, paying attention to the right amount to apply and concentrating on your hair tips: applying too few Oil (or not applying it at all) leaves your curls dry, frizzy and brittle, while applying too much weighs them down and ruins their elasticity and definition.

Are you ready to live the dream of silk-looking shiny curls?
